We are a small church initiative that meets outside.

Meetings

We commit to seeing, hearing, and supporting one another deeply. We commit to collaborative, creative work. The practices vary from week to week depending on the needs of the group during various seasons. The pastor and any interested members co-work on practice and study content that will be useful to the community.

Leadership

We acknowledge different gifts and interests in one another and support the expression of these gifts. We all minister to one another in ways that nurture the whole community.

Ideologies

·We look to Christian roots in various forms, knowing that Christianity has manifested itself in thousands of ways since its conception. We engage Hebrew and Christian scriptures, teachings, and traditions with the acknowledgement of their ancient, other-placed context. We create space to ask all questions about God and humanity, seeking modern applications for these ancient teachings.

We seek a depth of experience of God, with and through one another. We continually ask whether scripture, teaching, and tradition align with these experiences.

We acknowledge the suffering and pain that has been caused throughout history by various sects of the Christian Church, and we seek reconciliation with groups and individuals who have been harmed.

We acknowledge the reality of Mystery, and affirm that all individual knowledge is incomplete.

We look to the ancient mystics as incredible sources of wisdom and practice.

We seek conversation and community with those who have different religious roots.

We understand the natural world as a manifestation of the Spirit, we believe healing is at the heart of our work as humans, and we desire our children to experience the kind of love that is possible through spiritual community.

We are compelled to work for social justice through nonviolence, seeking to soften the power structures which keep us disconnected.
